Perceptive Informatics, an eClinical solutions provider and a subsidiary of
PAREXEL International, has announced the expansion of the number of languages supported by its ClinPhone Interactive Web Response System (IWRS).
Perceptive’s Interactive Web Response System provides valuable support to clinical trials worldwide that include multiple languages and require real-time, Web-based data collection.
The system now supports Japanese Kanji, the Chinese characters used in the Japanese writing system. The expansion has been made in response to an increased demand to incorporate Japanese Kanji into Perceptive’s IWRS.
Biopharmaceutical development is increasing in the Asia/Pacific region said Todd Kole, vice president, Interactive Voice and Web Response Systems, Perceptive Informatics. Kole said they are striving to deliver innovative technology that facilitates the conduct of large-scale global trials and Web-based data collection.
Kole also noted that some of the languages Perceptive Informatics’ has added to this IWRS enhancement correspond with the growth in trials being conducted in emerging regions.
With the addition of Japanese Kanji, Perceptive’s IWRS now supports over 80 languages via the Web including the Chinese, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Korean, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Thai, Turkish and Ukrainian languages.
Perceptive’s IWRS platform powers Perceptive’s Randomization and Trial Supply Management (RTSM) technologies. These technologies offer validated randomization methods, automated inventory control, dispensing and titration management, emergency code break capabilities and real-time supply reporting.
Because the IWRS complements the ClinPhone Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS), it enables Internet and telephone access and allows end-users to perform study activities via one or both interfaces.
