MyMedicalRecords.com Collaborates With ng Connect

MMRGlobal has announced that the company’s MyMedicalRecords.com PHR will be part of the ng Connect Program's service concept, TeleConsult.

The MyMedicalRecords Personal Health Record allows users to have access to a patient's PHR and collected biometric data as part of TeleConsult. Users can also communicate with healthcare professionals through video conferencing after the data is transferred.

TeleConsult is a self-care program encompassing remote monitoring of biometric data, oversight of treatment compliance, access to personal health records and frequent communication between patient and medical providers, featuring a group of ng Connect members that combine their products to follow the progress of a surgery patient through recovery using telemedicine.

According to Robert H. Lorsch, chairman and CEO of MMRGlobal, “We are proud to be part of the ng Connect TeleConsult service concept in what we believe is the first demonstration of a service that would allow patients to have vital data from monitoring devices sent to their MyMedicalRecords.com Personal Health Record on a real-time basis for sharing with their physicians and other healthcare providers. MyMedicalRecords.com can connect with any health IT product or service globally.”

Regardless of where they are located, the widespread availability of broadband access and the enabling technologies provided by this ecosystem provide the patient with a sense that their medical provider is always there to assist them. The information from TeleConsult populates itself in a MyMedicalRecords PHR for physicians and patients to manage care in real time, the company stated in a press release.

Recently, the company signed a settlement and patent license agreement with Surgery Center Management LLC, a consulting firm specializing in the development and management of freestanding ambulatory surgery.

Under the terms of the Agreement, MMR Global will issue a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to patents covering many of the MMR's patented Health IT products and services including the company's MyMedicalRecords and MMRPro document imaging and scanning solutions for healthcare professionals.
