Revolutionize Your Health: How Tricorder.Zero Brings Affordable Healthcare to Your Fingertips

If you’re like the average American, you’re finding it more and more challenging to get the healthcare you need. Doctors are less available, their prices have increased, and yet even once you’re able to secure an appointment, they still seem to have less time to help you.

“As a medical student, I experienced firsthand that 40 percent of people don’t have access to affordable, quality healthcare (even when they have health insurance), or the ability to pay for the care they need,” says Marcus Soori, Founder and CEO of O/D Vision, Inc. “To fill the gaps, I set out to develop a solution that would allow people to take control of their healthcare without unnecessarily wasting time and money in a doctor’s office.”

Soori’s solution is Tricorder.Zero™, an innovative tool that combines advanced health tracking with telehealth convenience. The revolutionary device empowers users with comprehensive health data, medication tracking, and record storage, bringing better health and fitness management to every user’s fingertips.

Seven integrated sensors for capturing clinical-grade data

Tricorder.Zero™ is the ultimate smart health companion, providing users with everything they need to manage their health with excellence and ease. Its innovative design features seven fully-integrated sensors that support over 15 functions. Activating each one requires only a simple tap on the device’s touchscreen, without needing to switch out modular sensors or refer to supplemental devices.

“Tricorder.Zero™ provides the capability to do so much more than simply gather health data,” Soori explains. “It puts the power to take total control of your health in the palm of your hand. Users gain the capability for advanced health tracking, fitness insights, future telehealth coordination, and more.”

The handheld Tricorder.Zero™ empowers users to measure their heart rate and blood oxygen levels with its pulse oximeter. Its electrocardiogram sensor detects normal heart rhythms, tachycardia, bradycardia, and atrial fibrillation. Ear, nose, and mouth observations can be made with its otoscope.

Tricorder.Zero™ also includes a high-magnification camera, a touchless infrared thermometer, a stethoscope, and a body fat/muscle tone sensor. Accessing them is as simple as tapping icons on the device’s home screen.

“Tricorder.Zero™ gives you what you need to confidently keep up with your health,” Soori says. “And it performs accurately wherever you are — at home, on vacation, in your office, or on the road.”

Patent-pending technology that ensures reliable performance

Soori’s vision for his game-changing device was inspired by the medical tricorder that appeared on the iconic science fiction series “Star Trek.” He believed its capabilities, which included measuring, recording, and analyzing data, would take healthcare to the next level.

However, when Soori began developing the device while in medical school in 2013, the necessary technology was not yet available. So, he waited for the health sensor industry to catch up while continuing to refine his design.

“By 2021, the critical components I need to make Tricorder.Zero™ a reality had become readily available, affordable, and small enough to fulfill my vision. The next year, I secured patent-pending status on 12 novel concepts, and in 2023, I completed my first working prototype,” Soori shares.

An innovation that empowers a wide range of users

Soori’s handheld health tracking device has the potential to help a wide range of users. Those determined to avoid wasting time and money in doctors’ offices will find it to be an invaluable tool. Tricorder.Zero™ will help them assess their health concerns from the comfort of their own home while also gathering accurate data that can be shared with doctors to reduce the need for lengthy and expensive in-office consultations.

Tricorder.Zero™ helps seniors seeking to maintain their independence by giving them a tool for measuring health metrics, tracking them over time, and sharing trends remotely with their children, home aides, and doctors. When parents are concerned about their children’s health, they can use Tricorder.Zero™ to take all of the necessary readings needed to determine if additional care is required.

Data-driven fitness enthusiasts will also benefit from the tools that Tricorder.Zero™ provides. It can take readings before and after workouts of body fat, muscle tone, heart rate, breath rate, and blood oxygenation.

“On average, adults in America spend $1,860 per year on their fitness,” Soori reveals, “but they get almost zero useful actionable data as a result. Tricorder.Zero™ lets them track their progress so they can optimize their results. It's an investment every serious fitness enthusiast will want to make.”

Soori has planned for the production of Tricorder.Zero™ to begin once 5,000 pre-orders are placed, after which the price is expected to rise to $499. Those who buy during the pre-order phase can reserve a device for only $299 through the Tricorder.Zero™ website.

“Tricorder.Zero™ is poised to play a pivotal role in the revolution happening in the healthcare space,” Soori says. “It’s a rare device that holds the potential to benefit all stakeholders, from patients to doctors to health systems and insurers. It’s the solution they’ve all been waiting for.”
