The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), provider of certifications and advanced credentials to health and fitness professionals, has announced the release of its mobile app for the NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), currently the most trusted level of certification across the industry. Students interested in preparing for the CPT Exam can use the NASM Personal Trainer Mobile App to gain access to training experts directly. The NASM mobile app which retails at $6.99 has been made available through the iTunes and the Android market.
Users of the NASM Personal Trainer mobile app will be provided with 3 interactive virtual game show environments which include the OPT Challenge which is similar to JEOPARDY in addition to the Fitness Squared which is similar to Hollywood Squares and the Raise the Bar which is similar to Who Wants to Be a Millionaire format.
Students preparing for NASM CPT exam can get access to informational resources while current CPTs can use the mobile app from NASM to keep abreast with information pertaining to the exam or alternatively to use the information while competing with other participants in virtual game shows.
Using the NASM Personal Trainer mobile app players can in addition to competing in the personal trainer community also unlock accomplishments by displaying their knowledge, play with their friends and contacts from their address book or from social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter and easily compare scores with other fitness professionals. Users can also select an avatar and create customized profiles.
