With the growth of technology and the growth of the Internet in general, there are mountains of data about just about anything anyone would want to know. The problem with mountains of data is that there tends to be too much for one person to go over in a timely fashion. When it comes to the field of healthcare, Teradata is looking to make it easier to go through those mountains of data thanks to the upcoming launch of the Innovation for Discovery Analytics Community Site which is being powered by the Teradata Aster.
The nearly-launched site is designed and set up in order to promote the value of data analytics when it comes to analytic professionals in healthcare. The site is set to be generally available on or around November 15. The main goal of this particular site, according to Teradata is to make it that much easier for for scientists and analytics professionals to communicate. The end game is to improve how analytics professionals are able to help the healthcare field.
"We are always looking for ways to unlock the power and value of big data and analytics through a more collaborative approach," said Jason Cooper, executive sponsor, Vice President and Chief Analytics Officer, Horizon Healthcare Services in a recent statement. "The new discovery site will enable us to share algorithms, insights and solutions with other health plans, ultimately working to benefit our members." Cooper’s company is New Jersey's largest health insurer and one of the companies that would benefit greatly from an exchange of information in the healthcare field. The Teradata-led site has a number of analytics which give organizations the ability to store the most valuable analytics workflows as applications, execute them with ease, visualize the results, and share the data and insights with others all over the world.
