Live Sentinel's 'MiAlert' Set to Offer Instant Aid Remotely

Everyone has someone that they worry about, whether it’s a parent, partner, child or colleague. The nightmare scenario is, “What would happen if they were hurt and no one knew?”

Now Live Sentinel, a new venture formed by seasoned industry executives from various industries including Voice over IP, building management, and contract manufacturing, have acquired the assets of igeacare to get a jump start into the health care arena. Their new product, miAlert, is a portable, wearable device that can summon help at the touch of a button.

Kevin Moroz, VP Business Development at Live Sentinel, was at ITEXPO in Miami recently, showing off his company’s premier product with the hope of meeting some new partners and introducing it to South American markets. He sat down with Erik Linask, Group Editorial Director at HealthTechZone.com, to discuss his company and what his product can do. Linask asked him about miAlert.

“The product is an aid for those who’ve ‘Fallen and can’t get up’,” Moroz explained. “It can dial either 911 or a loved one for help, and we’re here looking for partners to market the product in South America.”

One of the main features of the product is its Event Management Service software.

“The database management server determines where the calls go to, depending on who pushes the button and even what time of day they push the button,” Moroz said.

He explained that the miConnect server of miAlert gives the installer a way to automatically configure a large amount of units. Since the earlier systems were not connected to the Internet, the company created a system where one could log in to a user portal, create a configuration file, and call into the system via a phone line and have the system configured via DTMF tones.

In short, it’s a modern update to a classic system. See Moroz’ complete interview and hear more about his product here:
