The cloud has made quite the impact in just about every area of technology, from storage to CRM solutions and more. Even your family physician is probably leveraging the cloud as the inevitable migration to electronic health records moves into high gear. One provider of cloud-based services and solutions for doctors, CareCloud, has experienced continuous growth over the past three years, indicating that doctors really are embracing this technology.
CareCloud provides practice management, EHR and medical billing solutions in the cloud, and has experienced 12 straight quarters of growth. Its solutions are used by physicians in 45 states, serving more than 4.5 million patients. In the past year, the company launched its cloud-based EHR solution, CareCloud Charts, and also introduced mobile offerings so that patients could access their health records from mobile devices.
The company also added new leadership in several areas, bringing on several new vice presidents in the sales department, as well as a new VP in marketing and a new chief technology officer.
“In just three years, CareCloud has made substantial progress in its mission to replace the outdated core of healthcare technology that burdens US medical groups. We experienced our most rapid growth to date during 2012 and concluded the year with more than 2,000 providers in 45 states representing more than 50 specialties, all while securing a 96 percent client retention rate,” said Albert Santalo, Chairman and CEO of CareCloud, said in a statement.
“We also completed a full suite of what is now the industry's most modern and flexible clinical, financial, and administrative applications. Along the way, CareCloud on-boarded smaller practices at a record pace while also securing significant enterprise accounts.”
