PureWellness Adds Healthcare Organizations to its Employee Wellness Programs

PureWellness, provider of the Enterprise Health & Wellness Solution, has announced that several healthcare organizations recently used their platform to improve their health and wellness initiatives.

”Our solution is constantly evolving to accommodate the unique needs of the healthcare market,” said Ken Kaufman, president and cofounder of PureWellness.

New organizations using PureWellness’s solution include Hometown Health, a northern Nevada not-for-profit health insurance company; Baxter Regional Medical Center, a provider of preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic services in Arkansas; Franciscan Health and Wellness Services, Inc., a Baton Rouge-based healthcare organization, and Methodist Hospital’s Community Care Network, which provides managed care, occupational medicine and wellness services in Western Kentucky.

PureWellness provides corporate wellness programs for health plans, healthcare providers, resellers and employers, including an online health assessment, risk advisor, tracking tools, patient education resources, employee incentive programs, coaching modules, home health device integration, mobile phone integration, wellness workshops and team challenges, according to its website.

Companies like these kinds of plans so much because employees who participated in a health-improvement program had fewer medical costs than non-participants, according to a new report in the American Journal of Health Promotion, Laura Kennedy wrote in March.

In addition, three-year employer savings outpaced the program costs with a return on investment of almost $3 to $1.

Some companies, however, prefer avoiding the potential headaches of on-site wellness programs, and have found it easier to just offer discounted memberships at local gyms.
