ADARA Networks, provider of commercially available Software Defined Networking (SDN) and cloud computing platforms, recently announced that the company was an integral part of the team that has been selected by the National Institutes of Health's (NIH) Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC) for their Chief Information Officer -- Solution and Partners 3 (CIO-SP3) contract.
The team, which has been assembled by prime contractor Systems Made Simple (SMS), won the contract worth $20 billion. The team can now deliver IT support to any federal, civilian or Department of Defense (DOD) agency within the next 10 years.
"ADARA is proud to leverage our extensive public sector expertise to bring our SDN technology to positively impact the national healthcare technology infrastructure," said Eric Johnson, CEO and chairman, ADARA Networks. "As the first fully deployable production level SDN offering on the market, we will continue to support both public sector and enterprise demand for innovative technologies that will change the face of networking."
ADARA employs scientists, engineers, consultants, subject-matter experts, current and former leaders, and sales professionals from major industries, companies, and government entities across four continents. The company invents and produces software and systems and consulting services across the entire spectrum of IT. Customers are some of the largest enterprises and entities in the world, and ADARA has successfully delivered products and services for the most secure and mission-critical military and civilian organizations in our nation.
Recently, ADARA Networks announced the initial widespread commercial shipments and distributions of its software-only SDN platform to the US Commercial market, via ADARA and Tech Data's nationwide network of value-added resellers (VARs) representing an initial 7,000 enterprises; with a significantly greater number of shipments and distributions already scheduled. These shipments and distributions further demonstrate the commercial availability of the ADARA platform.
