According to a recent announcement by Canaccord Genuity, Randall Stanicky will join the company’s Equity Research team as a managing director, covering the Specialty Pharmaceutical sector. Also, Camilo Lyon has joined Canaccord Genuity's Equity Research team as a principal covering Hardlines and other subsectors within the retail sector. Stanicky expects to join in July 2011.
"I am delighted that Randall has decided to join Canaccord Genuity's equity research team," said Stephen Buell, director of research for Canaccord Genuity (U.S.), in a press release. "With a full decade of experience covering a broad range of pharmaceutical companies, and strong relationships with investors and company management teams, his addition will help reinforce Canaccord Genuity's long standing commitment to companies in the Life Sciences sector."
Previously working in Goldman Sachs & Company, Randall will be responsible for establishing new coverage for the firm in specialty pharmaceuticals and certain pharmaceutical services companies, which will be fully aligned with Canaccord Genuity's existing coverage of biotechnology and medical technologies.

"With six years of industry experience covering a broad range of retail companies, he brings a strong skill set of working with growth companies and institutional investors in the retail sector."
Coming from Wedbush Securities, where he covered Specialty Retailing, Camilo will establish new coverage for the firm with an emphasis on active life styles in certain hardline retail categories, as well as several companies in the footwear and apparel sector. Camio will be working with Scott Van Winkle's pre-eminent coverage of the Healthy Living sector.
Over the past 12 months, Canaccord Genuity has continued to expand in the U.S., hiring 16 senior professionals; three Investment Banking professionals, five Institutional Sales & Trading professionals, and eight Equity Research analysts.
