Phreesia Tablet Wins TripleTree Award

Phreesia, a patient check-in company, was selected as TripleTree's third annual winner based on the efficiencies it achieves in medical practices through the implementation of its wireless, touch screen mobile tablet for patient self-service check-in.

The awards program recognizes innovation, insight and initiative in the wireless life sciences industry. Phreesia was honored for the PhreesiaPad, which, together with Phreesia software, automates the check-in process for patients and practice staff. Patients enter their demographics, insurance and clinical information on the Phreesia Pad, and can also pay their copayments and balances, directly on the PhreesiaPad.

The solution is HIPAA-compliant and captures electronic signatures on all required consent forms, and integrates with existing practice management and electronic health record systems. Now used by thousands of medical practices nationwide, Phreesia streamlines the check-in process for office staff and patients, enhances patient-clinician dialogue, and improves overall quality of care by automatically verifying insurance eligibility and benefits using the information the patient has entered, prompting the patient to pay a copay and any open balances by swiping a major credit or debit card, and securely storing the information online in Phreesia’s Dashboard.

Phreesia automates patient intake, allowing medical practices to collect patient information easily, verify insurance and collect payments at the point-of care. Phreesia delivers fully interactive content direct to patients, and is designed to interface with clinicians' existing and future technology.

“We were overwhelmed with the quality of the applicants and range of solutions for this year’s I Award. Each of the twelve finalists will bring great energy and perspective to our Convergence Summit agenda and reinforce the relevance of how wireless and mobile solutions are transforming healthcare,” says Chris Hoffmann, senior director and chief marketing officer of TripleTree, which sponsors the I Awards and is a co-founding member of the WLSA.

TripleTree's award program showcased the top companies, healthcare providers, payers, investors, policy makers and innovators improving healthcare delivery through wireless communication technologies.

TripleTree, LLC is an independent merchant and investment bank focused on mergers and acquisitions, financial restructuring, principal investing, and strategic advisory services for healthcare and technology companies.
