Healthcare Technology and News: Healthcare Solutions Partners With Jopari

Healthcare Solutions, a provider of integrated medical cost management solutions, has selected Jopari's eBill, ePayment and Portal tools to assist the company in streamlining operations and enhancing its service offerings to suppliers, vendors and customers.

"Integration with Jopari will allow Healthcare Solutions to take advantage of many administrative simplification initiatives that are widely deployed in the group health environment," said Chris Wicker, vice president of reimbursement for Healthcare Solutions, in a statement.

"We expect the integration to provide Healthcare Solutions' providers, vendors and customers with streamlined workflows and enhanced customer service capabilities through improved bill submission and payment processes," said Wicker.

Officials with Jopari said that Healthcare Solutions is currently implementing several of the company’s technologies, including eBill submission, electronic remittance, electronic funds transfer (EFT) and paper check issuance.

The implementation will be deployed in stages, with the first components migrating to production later this month.

A portal is also being developed that will enable Healthcare Solutions' customers to check transaction status through a web-based system.

"The Jopari tools allow for greater self-service by providers and suppliers and reduces the enormous paper dependency that is common in workers' compensation," said Jennifer Nereu, manager of provider technologies for Jopari Solutions.

"We are excited to partner with Healthcare Solutions, a market-leading workers' compensation health care intermediary, in adopting advanced technology to manage its service offerings and improve the exchange between suppliers, vendors and customers," said Nereu.

Jopari Solutions, Inc. is a SAS 70 Type II certified technology services company supplying integrated eBill compliance and payment solutions to workers' compensation, auto, and health insurance industry providers and payers.

In November, HealthTechZone reported that Texas Mutual Insurance Company, a leading Texas-based workers’ compensation insurer, has signed a multi-year eBill extension processing agreement with its partner, Jopari Solutions.
