3M Health Information Systems, a provider of software and consulting services that improve clinical documentation, quality, and financial performance across the healthcare continuum, announced that Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT) has certified the company’s 3M eHealth Documentation software modules as ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 compliant electronic health record (EHR) modules.
The 3M eHealth Documentation software modules to receive the ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification include the 3M ChartRelease software version 7; 3M Electronic Signature Authentication (with 3M ChartView) version 5; 3M ChartScan software version 3; 3M ChartFact Software version 14; 3M PFS document management software version 5; 3M VoiceScript software version 10; 3M ChartScript software version 10; and 3M ChartScriptMD software version 10.
The ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 criteria support the Stage 1 meaningful use measures. Eligible providers and hospitals should qualify these criteria for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
The ONC-ATCB certification aligns with Health Information Technology: Initial Set of Standards, Implementation Specifications, and Certification Criteria for Electronic Health Record Technology published in the Federal Register in July 2010. It adheres to the test procedures published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) at the time of testing.
The 3M ChartRelease software is a revenue generating release of information management program designed for hospitals and clinics. Apart from allowing compliance with regulatory requirements, it also captures and tracks requests, generates invoices, posts payments for request fees, sends action follow-up letters, selects and prints electronic documents, supports client-customized workflow and more.
Virtually eliminating document scanning backlog, the 3M ChartScan is a patented document capture and online forms management program. It captures key documents at the point of service as well as the back-end batch scanning of paper-based patient documentation with automated indexing to the patient‚ visit‚ document type‚ page number and orientation.
Managing dictation and transcription with a single system design, the 3M VoiceScript is a voice management system that supports and automates dictation technologies. It can centrally manage the voice files. Featuring an advanced design, it allows acceptance of voice files from a network-connected PC, DVR or traditional analog devices.
In recent news, 3M partnered with Nuance to deliver a suite of next generation, ICD-10-ready clinical documentation and coding solutions.
