Telerad Tech Enters US Market by Signing Three New Contracts

Telerad Tech, a company focused on radiology automation systems, announced that its teleradiology workflow solution called RADSpa has won three new customers from the US healthcare sector. The company hopes that these contracts will open the door for more opportunities in the US.

Telerad Tech, the technology division of Teleradiology Solutions, launched its RADSpa solution in 2010. The product was developed in collaboration with Ashva Technology, a Chennai-based company. According to Telerad Tech, RADSpa is a web-hosted radiology platform that can be accessed from anywhere in the world by radiologists, physicians, technicians and hospital administrators.

The solution is aimed at simplifying the functioning of radiologists and increases the efficiency of the process of interpretation and analysis of x-ray, ultrasound, CAT scan and MRI images.

RADSpa has a cloud based delivery mechanism which eliminates the need for expensive infrastructure and time consuming implementation processes, its maker explained. RADSpa comes with various unique features such as Auto Rad Assign, Radiology CRM, Smart Reports and DICOM parallelize, Active Push, Referral Physician Portal and referring hospital portal. Working together, these features optimize radiologist's efficiency and simultaneously increase accuracy by implementing safeguards.

The new clients include Matrix, Inc., a teleradiology company; Pennsylvania-based healthcare provider Altoona Hospital, and Midstate Medical Center in Connecticut. All three organizations have made significant investments in some of the most advanced medical technologies available in the market.

With the addition of three new US clients to its portfolio, RADSpa now boasts of 50 installations worldwide, including one in a 17 hospital chain in Poland.

“This is our first major installation in the United and it is a validation of the uniqueness of this technology for any group interested in teleradiology. We are optimistic that these are the first of many contracts we are poised to sign in North America,”  said Ricky Bedi, CEO of Telrad Tech.

Teleradiology Solutions received the 2011 Best in KLAS Award for teleradiology services from KLAS, a research and consulting firm which focuses on monitoring and reporting of healthcare vendors’ performance.
