SoftServe Teams with PDT to Develop Next-Gen Medical Devices

SoftServe, a provider of software development, testing and consulting services, and Product Development Technologies (PDT), a full-service product development firm, announced their partnership to streamline development of next generation healthcare devices for the connected medicine industry.

Medical device manufacturers can effectively bring more game-changing products to market utilizing PDT’s expertise in strategic medical product development and SoftServe’s software development skills for complex healthcare management.

Many device manufacturers are looking to offer solutions for providers and hospitals trying to use Electronic Health Records (EHRs) to achieve specified improvements in care delivery. This is in response to the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH).

Through HITECH, the federal government will commit unprecedented resources to supporting the adoption and meaningful use of EHRs through 2015, according to a press statement.

Medical device makers can utilize SoftServe’s 2,500 successful software development projects and HIMSS membership as well as PDT’s ISO 13485 certification and Continua Alliance Membership.

By engaging the SoftServe team, the client will enjoy seamless creation and integration of embedded software with all necessary phases – research through industrial design, user experience and engineering – enabling efficient and accurate device development.

Recently, SoftServe announced that it has been named to IAOP’s annual ranking of the world's best outsourcing service providers and advisors. The company has been selected in the Rising Star category for the 2011 Global Outsourcing 100 service providers list of The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals.
