MyMedicalRecords to Debut Mobile Phone and Tablet App

MMRGlobal will unveil its MyMedicalRecords Personal Health Record and Emergency View portals as custom mobile and tablet apps for Android devices, at the HIMSS Conference & Exhibition in Las Vegas, the company has announced.

Along with icons to access MMR's patented Emergency View, the mobile app will feature the patented MyMedicalRecords Personal Health Record in an intuitive, mobile-ready configuration.

Making the Android app a comprehensive emergency health information network for the entire family, a user can use their cell phone number interchangeably with their MyMedicalRecords Lifeline number with the help of Verizon's Visual Voice Mail.

In the MMR's planned launch of its Web-based products and services on Verizon devices connected through Verizon's Visual Voice Mail System, or an MMR Lifeline telephone number, MMRGlobal's launch of the Android Personal Health Record applications marks a major step forward.

The company has already moved a significant portion of its Lifeline telecommunications network to Verizon where it currently is hosting more than 48,000 Lifelines. In addition to traditional touch screen interface, the app will also have a voice signature login capability.

The mobile app will enable the user to utilize their camera-equipped smartphone to take snapshots of images for seamless upload directly into the their MyMedicalRecords PHR account in addition to receiving health information and other important documents by upload, fax or voice.

In the event of an emergency where the user cannot communicate with emergency personnel, the app will also enable the recording of video messages for communication of the patient's health information, prescriptions, contraindications and more.

Recently, MMRGlobal announced that the company’s MyMedicalRecords.com PHR will be part of the ng Connect Program's service concept, TeleConsult. The MyMedicalRecords Personal Health Record allows users to have access to a patient's PHR and collected biometric data as part of TeleConsult.

Users can also communicate with healthcare professionals through video conferencing after the data is transferred. TeleConsult is a self-care program encompassing remote monitoring of biometric data.
