Kofax to Supply HTH with Technology to Capture and Process Medical Claims on Mobile

At close to $3 trillion, the annual US health budget is larger than the GDP of the vast majority of countries around the world. If the monolithic size was due to universal coverage and unparalleled service, it could easily be justified, but the massive budget is due to inefficiencies across virtually every segment of the healthcare industry. To reign in some of the expenditure, healthcare providers around the country have been implementing ICT solutions to improve their operations. HTH Worldwide (HTH), a technology-based services company serving global travelers and international health insurance companies, has chosen Kofax Limited, provider of smart process applications for the business critical First Mile of customer interactions, to capture and process medical claims using mobile devices.

The Kofax Mobile Capture platform is designed to improve efficiency for organizations by ensuring the highest quality of compression for archiving and transmission. It does this with a robust security protocol to protect sensitive data by not saving captured images on the mobile device.

By using the camera that is readily available on smartphones, Kofax uses its enterprise application to accelerate processes, minimize latency, speed transactions and lower processing costs to improve customer service.

With this solution in place HTH believes it will be able to capture and process tens of thousands of documents in the coming year through this mobile application.
