Health Robotics, a supplier of life-critical intra-venous medication robots, announced it is expanding operations into Bosnia, Croatia, Finland, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia.
The company has signed exclusive distribution agreements for its CytoCare, i.v.STATION, and i.v.SOFT technologies with regional providers Newico and Apta Medica, company officials said.
Through these expansions, Health Robotics aims to “pervasively provide safe and cost-effective Intravenous (IV) Admixture Compounding Automation to hospitals all over the world.
Health Robotics' innovative software and related technologies enable clinical pharmacists in these countries to dedicate more time to patient care, clinical research, and to tackle new challenges in the quickly-changing pharmaceutical industry, company officials said.
"The investment we recently made on Europe-hosted symposiums such as EAHP and ISOPP, and the recent success of our Robots at Catholic University of Louvain-St. Luc, Mainz University Hospital, and Val d'Hebron University Hospital have enabled Health Robotics to continue its torrid momentum by expanding into 10 new European countries this quarter," Gaspar DeViedma, Health Robotics' executive vice president.
CytoCare, according to company officials, is the first and only robotic system proven to work anywhere in the world for the safe and sterile preparation of Hazardous Intravenous Admixtures, including Chemotherapy, Monoclonal Antibody Therapy, and Gene Therapy.
The company has achieved 56 installations contract for CytoCare in 17 countries till date. With this achievement, CytoCare has proven its unmatched flexibility to adapt to diverse pharmacy workflows and proprietary IV consumables in 4 continents, company officials said.
While several companies attempted the development of Chemotherapy Robotics as far back as 22 years ago, Cytocare is still the only robot that has been able to break the entry-barrier into the Intravenous Chemotherapy Automation Sector, officials at Health Robotics claimed.

In June HealthTechZone reported that Health Robotics signed a marketing agreement to expand the market presence of i.v.STATION and i.v.SOFT into Canada.
