A Medicare Pioneer Accountable Care Organization (ACO), Plus, has decided to use healthcare information technology company, Sandlot Solutions, to help manage patient information. The new collaboration will allow for ACO to take advantage of Sandlot Solutions technology to streamline medical information between providers, hospitals, and health care insurance companies.

North Texas Specialty Physicians (NTSP) helped to develop, Plus, which has become one of the largest faith-based, not-for-profit health systems in the United States. The company has gained popularity, now consisting of more than 600 families and specialty doctors.

Plus said its doctors strive to provide high quality care, but realize that many struggle to obtain the correct medical information to provide to their doctors and caretakers making it difficult to coordinate the proper care. The company said to help, it has decided to take advantage of ACO companies, which will help by taking over the coordination process. Joseph Casper, chief executive officer at Sandlot Solutions, said he is glad to be working with Plus.

The management solution will also give doctors access to data from Medicare to help improve how they provide care. This next-generation technology will also prevent patients from having to fill out tons of paper work because most of the information will already be kept on file. This technology’s benefits will help make patients become the center of care.
