Streamline Health Helps St. Vincent's with SaaS Migration

Licensing agreement with Streamline Health Solutions has been extended by St. Vincent's Medical Center. The healthcare system will be converting from a licensing model to Streamline Health's software as a service or SaaS model. A new accessANYware version with additional HIM workflows will be also used by the healthcare system. An announcement in this regard has been made by the top provider of document workflow solutions for hospitals in the market, Streamline Health Solutions.

The seven-year agreement has been extended through Streamline Health’s strategic partner, GE Healthcare. The agreement will allow St. Vincent's Medical Center to utilize Streamline Health products and services.

The 473-bed community teaching and referral hospital, St. Vincent's Medical Center also has a Level II trauma center. A full range of inpatient and outpatient services are provided by St. Vincent’s.

The medical center will move closer to their goal of ICD-10 compliance by migrating to accessANYware v1.9. Key benefits in the final elimination of legacy hardware are provided by accessANYware v1.9. A medical center is able to manage facilities separately with unique governance as multi-entity benefits are also provided. The medical center will be also provided GE Inbox integration through this upgrade. Charts can be therefore completed by physicians from one location.

Several additional Streamline Health products will be also deployed by the medical center as part of the new agreement. These include Chart Completion Workflow, Coding Workflow, and Release of Information Workflow. The efficiency and effectiveness of the HIM department will be improved by the suite of workflows. This will be done by automating the routing of documents. Documents can be therefore accessed online by remote employees.

In a release, Betsy Thornquist, CIO at St. Vincent's Medical Center said, "We have successfully used Streamline Health's document management solutions in our hospital for more than five years, and see the migration to their SaaS model along with the implementation of their HIM workflows as the next step in our journey to the complete online patient record."

According to Thornquist, the medical center will be able to reduce costs and optimize the online capabilities with these programs. An even better patient experience can be therefore provided.
