TriZetto Solutions Picked by Colorado Access

TriZetto, a source of healthcare IT software and service solutions, was chosen by Colorado Access to provide end-to-end software and service solutions that can enhance service and support growth.

Colorado Access is a private, nonprofit health plan that serves the medical and behavioral health needs of underserved Coloradans.

"The evolving healthcare industry and our own plans for growth were paramount considerations in selecting TriZetto," Marshall R. Thomas, managing director, president and CEO/chief medical officer of Colorado Access, said in a statement.

"TriZetto's software and services solution set will provide an advanced, flexible platform that helps Colorado Access navigate changes and pursue strategic opportunities, such as healthcare reform, ICD-10 compliance and the requirements of the State of Colorado and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.”

Through this deal, TriZetto has agreed to help the plan improve administrative efficiencies and service delivery for its health plan members and providers. TriZetto's technology-enabled solutions for Colorado Access include its QNXT enterprise core administration system and Medicare and Medicaid modules, web service capabilities and application management, business management and consulting services.

Colorado Access will begin using the TriZetto solutions during the first half of 2013.

Thomas believes that with TriZetto’s help, the heath plan will have enhanced capabilities that will enable providers in Colorado Access's network to easily check patient eligibility, retrieve claim payment information and check the status of claims.

"TriZetto's software and services will benefit Colorado Access in several ways," Trace Devanny, chairman and CEO of TriZetto, said in a press release.

"Our pre-integrated solution set helps clients avoid the headache of disparate technologies from multiple vendors,” Devanny added. “This comprehensive solution will help Colorado Access leverage its people, processes and technology most strategically. The platform will streamline the day-to-day management of information systems and administrative functions, and it will support the health plan in achieving its mission of providing access to high-quality healthcare for more underserved Coloradans."

TriZetto supports more than 30 percent of the nation's Medicare Advantage and Part D members. The firm is also the leading administration system provider in Medicaid, supporting nearly 50 percent of all managed Medicaid members.

According to a report from TMC, the TriZetto Group recently enhanced its “benefits administration, care management and network management capabilities of its solutions platform,” the first in the 5.X series, set to take effect throughout 2012 to help healthcare companies accomplish these goals.
