Rody Chiropractic Improves Billing and Charting with MedInformatix Electronic Records
MedInformatix, a provider of electronic records management solutions, announced Rody Chiropractic, a chiropractic facility in Puyallup, Washington, has deployed the MedInformatix paperless solutions for electronics records management to achieve efficiency in billing, charting and referrals.
Rody Chiropractic currently has three physicians, five massage therapists and one home-based medical transcriptionist. The facility uses the Atlas Orthogonal method of treatment and serves more than 50,000 patients annually. The practice selected MedInformatix to enable electronic records, charting, billing and referrals in one integrated solution.
"We operate a very busy office that needs a bulletproof electronic records solution in order to function properly,” said Patty Ann, account manager at Rody Chiropractic, in a statement."MedInformatix works with us to setup the system to fit our specific needs with the goal of making us as efficient as possible. Any customization requests are completed quickly so we can operate without interruption to best serve our patients."
MedInformatix paperless management solution enables the practice to manage patient charts. The solution’s sticky notes functionality is used by the staff to inform the doctor about a patient’s question, referral request or any other information on patient claims.
The MedInformatix platform can be accessed by the massage therapists who perform the charting within the solution. It is also accessed by the outsourced transcriptionist who produces the transcripts of the doctor notes that are attached to the file. With these features, the MedInformatix platform significantly reduces patient wait time.
Following the integration of MedInformatix, the practice improved payment processing and achieved more accurate accounting. As a result, the practice improved its revenue cycle. Additionally, they integrated ZirMed's reimbursement services with MedInformatix to offer a complete billing service.
"Before electronic billing and records with MedInformatix, the staff would spend hours at night with manual billing and charting tasks," Ann continued. "We now run very efficiently, with every step covered to ensure the staff spends more time focused on patient needs instead of paperwork and tracking down payments."
Electronic health record (EHR) is one of the fastest growing markets in Information Technology (IT). Recently, cloud-based healthcare solution provider CareCloud announced its official entry into the electronic health record (EHR) market with the launch of CareCloud Charts, its first EHR solution.
