Dell to Provide Greenway's PrimeSUITE 2011 as Hosting Solution

Greenway Medical Technologies, Inc. recently signed an agreement with global healthcare IT solutions leader Dell to provide PrimeSUITE 2011, an integrated electronic health record (EHR), practice management and interoperability solution by Greenway, as a hosted solution for new and existing physician practice customers. 

"Greenway is an industry standard-bearer in customer service as attested by its KLAS awards," said August Calhoun, vice president of Dell Healthcare and Life Sciences Services, in a statement. "By providing PrimeSUITE through the cloud, Dell is further simplifying EHR implementation and use for Greenway customers so that they can focus on using electronic patient information to improve care."

Greenway will leverage Dell’s expertise to provide solutions that allow its customers to have the secure, compliant connectivity that meets HIPAA requirements. Greenway has become one of many organizations for which Dell manages medical images and studies with its Unified Clinical Archiving (UCA).    

"Right now there is a lot of attention being paid to cloud technology for a variety of professional and consumer services,” said Tee Green, president and CEO of Greenway Medical Technologies, in a press release. “For us it is really about offering the right fit for our customers, be it a cloud- or premise-based approach, and giving them the solutions they need to advance care coordination. Care coordination is where truly innovative healthcare and healthcare information technology is being put to its best use, and we believe Dell's abilities complement our goals for a smarter, more sustainable healthcare system."

Meanwhile, Greenway Medical Technologies, Inc. recently announced the achievement of Women’s Health certification by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®). Since CCHIT announced the availability of the obstetrics certification program in May, Greenway’s PrimeSUITE is to date the only EHR to achieve the complete designation, which expanded upon existing certification for ambulatory functionality, child health and cardiovascular medicine.
