C7 Data Centers announced that Loma Linda University Medical Center has picked its services for the provision of data center services. Loma Linda University Medical Center, or LLUMC, offers well designed clinical programs and provides Whole Person Care for over several thousand inpatients and outpatients annually.
Commenting on the requirement of LLUMC Mark Zirkelbach its CIO said in a release, “LLUMC requires a redundant, reliable and scalable data center infrastructure to handle a myriad of IT implementations. C7’s data center expertise helps us leverage power, cooling, bandwidth and space securely and economically.”
According to officials the LLUMC multi-year service contract was awarded to C7 after an elaborate evaluation and selection process conducted on a national scale involving several data center service providers. The process was undertaken by DataCenterAndColocation, a colocation consulting company,
“Loma Linda University Medical Center chose C7 based on multiple factors and the responses from a comprehensive RFP,” said John Giaquinta, president of DataCenterAndColocation.
DataCenterAndColocation helps clients identify space, power, security and compliance requirements. It solicits proposals from providers, analyzes them, compares the strengths and weaknesses, negotiates pricing and offers competitive bids for colocation.
Wes Swenson, C7 Data Centers’ president and CEO explained that C7’s SSAE 16 Tier III data center facilities can cater to the needs of information management in the health care field. C7 will be providing suitable data center services to LLUMC.
