MultiPlan Selects BP Logix to Centralize CapEx and MER

MultiPlan, a provider of a comprehensive suite of transaction-based healthcare cost management services, has selected BP Logix’s Process Director/Cloud Edition to automate its Capex and major expenditure request process.

"Starting with the initial presentation, BP Logix made us aware that Process Director could do almost anything we asked. It was able to replicate our former process which made it obvious that the product could take us where we needed to go," said Beth Kaplan, senior operations analyst with MultiPlan's finance department, in a statement.

"Then we looked at cost, the ability to integrate with our financial management software and other applications, and decided that Process Director was the product Finance wanted to use," Kaplan added.

"As an IT support group, we work closely with our business users to ensure that the technology they select will address both short and longer term needs," said Campbell Chau, contract manager for IT.

"We hoped that an off-the-shelf product would address both our processes and workflows. The decision to select Process Director/Cloud Edition was made by Finance with guidance from our group. From an IT perspective we were also pleased with the pilot and resulting decision," said Chau.

Officials with BP Logix said that Process Director/Cloud Edition enables business users to review historical and current data related to business processes, understand the implication of activities in running processes and to instantly implement corrective action to overcome a pending problem, if one is present.

"In selecting Process Director/Cloud Edition companies are investing in an infrastructure solution that also supports integration with third party applications," observed Jay O'Brien, CEO of BP Logix.

O'Brien said that the company is pleased to provide MultiPlan with technology it can use to better manage its expenditures while also demonstrating operational improvement.

“Having a Cloud version of our product facilitates the kind of collaboration between IT and business units that companies like MultiPlan expect," he added.

BP Logix claims to be the first software company to introduce the dimension of time into business process management.

In December HealthTechZone reported that Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW), the nation's largest three-service municipal utility has selected BP Logix to automate the utility's key documents.
