TeleCare2 Launches National Telecare Service

TeleCare24 has launched a brand new National Telecare service, which will use the latest technology to provide care and protection for the elderly.

In the UK alone there are more than 12 million people of pensionable age. Nearly fifty percent of elderly people either live alone or are in poor health, often with normally relatives living some distance away. In case of an emergency, providing immediate assistance has been a major concern. People can now stay independent in their own home irrespective of their age or disability with the use of a personal emergency alarm.

Each day, more than 9000 falls are reported in the UK. People can now summon help at the touch of a button with the personal pendant alarm from Telecare24. The wireless pendant alarm is fixed with an emergency button. Alternatively, an emergency alarm unit is installed in the home. Either of the two options can be used to activate the alarm.

An existing telephone line is connected to the pendent alarms. Customers are immediately connected to one of the highly trained operators at TeleCare24 when the OAP emergency button is pressed. Assistance will be summoned by the operators as quickly as possible.

Telecare24 provides total reassurance for people who require emergency support or assistance from its operation centre in Hampshire. TeleCare24 is also capable of offering services to all 23 million homes in the UK. Any emergency experienced by a person in their home can be taken care of by the highly trained operators from TeleCare24.

In a release, Neil Evans, Director of Operations at TeleCare24, said, “Telecare24 will be the first National Telecare Service to be both reactive and proactive. We have a range of really exciting services that we will be launching that will give our customers real independence at home using the latest technologies.”
