In an effort to simplify the lives of the shoppers always on the go, Shopko has recently unveiled its new mobile pharmacy app, available on the iPhone, Android and Blackberry platforms.
The free and easy-to-use pharmacy app will allow users to quickly and easily refill and manage their pharmacy prescriptions anywhere, anytime from their smartphones.
Customers, with the help of this mobile pharmacy app will now be able to request refills, review active prescription details — including expiration date, refills remaining and overdue refills — set up dosage reminders and receive email/text notifications when a prescription refill is ready.
Additionally, the mobile app includes a “Pharmacy Locator” feature so customers can locate and get driving directions, while also checking hours of operation for the nearest Shopko pharmacy.
Officials said that the app also maximizes customer convenience by enabling users to handle all of their pharmacy needs with their smartphone.
In a release, Paul Jones, Shopko president, chairman and CEO, said: “We are always exploring new ways to improve customer service and make our pharmacy services more convenient, and this app makes finding our stores and filling prescriptions on their mobile devices quick and easy for our customers”.
“This app is in direct response to consumer demand and we've worked hard to develop the features most important to our customers. This will be a convenient and simple new way to access our award winning pharmacy services.”
Headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Shopko is the $2 billion retailer that operates 149 stores in 13 states throughout the Midwest, Mountain and Pacific Northwest regions.
In related news, Shopko has announced an upgrade to its online shopping system, which allows consumers visiting Shopko's website to browse an engaging digital version of the current print advertising circular.
