Audiotoniq, a provider of hearing-loss technology, announced that it started pre-orders of its MyWay hearing aids.
The company has priced the MyWay hearing aid at $1,949 per pair. Customers who pre-order will be the first to receive their hearing aid when shipments start in December 2011.
Customers can reserve Audiotoniq MyWay hearing aid with a refundable $100 and will also receive free upgraded accessories valued at $149.
“Supporting a group like AARP is an important company mission to us,” said Harold Mindlin, vice president of sales and marketing, Audiotoniq, in a statement. “We couldn’t think of a better place to start sales for our new hearing aid system.”
Leveraging the MyWay hearing aids and MyWay smartphone app available on Android and iPhone, users will have immediate control to make adjustments for their hearing aid settings at the touch of a finger.
The hearing aid is also adaptable for use with digital media devices such as MP3 players and contains a rechargeable lithium ion battery that will last approximately 24 hours between charges.
The company’s upgraded accessories include the MyCharge portable charger, a USB flash drive that supports up to five full charges on-the-go, and the MyConnect ear buds that allow users to transform their hearing aids into ear buds to talk on the phone or listen to music using corrected sound profile, company officials said.
Recently, Audiotoniq sponsored the HLAA Convention where 600 HLAA Convention attendees got an opportunity to celebrate the range of accessibility at the Kennedy Center at a performance of Wicked.
