Brightstar Corp. is teaming up with Vocera Communications to deliver iOS bundled solutions covering secure voice, text messaging and access to critical data for the healthcare market. Considering Brightstar’s experience providing diversified services for the wireless industry and Vocera’s expertise with healthcare communications, this collaboration makes a lot of sense.
Together, the companies will provide Vocera customers with a unique set of solutions based around iOS devices paired with best-in-class accessories to meet the specific needs of the healthcare environment. This engagement will also better allow hospitals and healthcare providers to consolidate purchases and reduce operational costs.

Vocera provides enterprise-class communication solutions to over 1,300 organizations worldwide, including Stillwater Medical Center in north-central Oklahoma, which implemented the Vocera Communication System earlier this year. Brightstar, meanwhile, recently expanded its presence in Canada through the acquisition of WirelessWorks in October.
Healthcare professionals the world over are shifting toward mobile solutions such as the Vocera Communication Platform as a means to securely connect the right people with the right information on a variety of devices. The end goal is to improve overall productivity, while enhancing patient care and adhering to privacy standards.
By partnering with Brightstar, Vocera states it is better able to deliver on its promise to provide customers with a broad array of mobile device solutions for secure communication on the Vocera platform. Both companies currently offer solutions in the US and the UK but will be expanding to more countries.
