MicroStrategy and Liverpool Community Health Deploy an iPad App

Liverpool Community Health (LCH) NHS Trust in Great Britain provides community health services to individuals in their own homes as well as 100 health centers and clinics. It delivers services to the patients in the community 24 hours a day seven days a week with general and specialized care. In order to manage its team of more than 3500 and a population of 750,000, LCH has developed an iPad application to help their staff while they are out in the field.

The organizational performance electronic reporting app (OPERA) is designed by MicroStrategy Incorporated, a global provider of enterprise software platforms, to give clinicians and board members access to critical data while they are visiting patients in the community.

With OPERA on their iPad, they are able to access operational and performance data so they can receive alerts, react to risks, access visualizations and take action with near real-time information regardless of their location. This gives the staff a new tool for engaging with patients while aggregating data that can be used to improve the practice of the entire organization by using the MicroStrategy Analytics Platform.

The analytics platform analyzes vast amounts of data and is able to distribute actionable insights throughout an organization. It delivers reports enabling users to conduct impromptu analysis anytime and anywhere and share their insights with everyone.

"After considering a number of different providers of mobile business platforms, we chose MicroStrategy because it's more intuitive and a solution that we could take, install, and implement fairly quickly. It was very simple for us to transition over to the MicroStrategy Mobile Platform," said Lesley Neary, head of planning and performance at LCH.

The MicroStrategy Mobile applications allow organizations a flexible, powerful, scalable and user-friendly platform for on premises or in the cloud installations. This includes analytics, transactions, multimedia, and collaboration along. It has a military grade security along with internationalization, in-app collaboration, monitoring and alert capabilities. All of these solutions are provided with the company's code-free platform.

Currently the company provides solutions to nine out of the top 15 U.S. Federal Government cabinet-level departments, nine of the top 10 Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies, all 10 of the top global communications companies, three of the top five global mail, package, and freight delivery companies, 14 of the top 20 global financial institutions and many of the top public and private organizations around the world.

"We are well aware of the challenges healthcare organizations face in delivering near real-time critical data into the hands of people in the field interacting with patients. Using MicroStrategy Mobile, healthcare professionals are empowered to manipulate important information with a swipe and tap, and focus on actions that impact care quality and clinical outcomes, as well as lower costs," said Paul Zolfaghari, President, MicroStrategy Incorporated.
