EHR to Integrate Phreesia Partners' Point-of-Service Patient Intake Solution

Even though the healthcare industry is advanced on many fronts, it’s playing catch-up to other industry when it comes to integrating digital technology into its operational workflow. Integrating electronic systems for checking in patients, writing prescriptions and filling out forms significantly reduces error rates and makes it more efficient to transfer to databases.

EHR Integration services (EHR IS), a healthcare data management service company, and Phreesia Partners, a patient check-in company, are collaborating to integrate the company’s point-of-service intake solution.

The agreement gives Phreesia access to EHR IS so it can incorporate their practice management and electronic health record (EHR) system to provide a more efficient workflow at facilities with client intakes.

Phreesia is a patient check-in company, with a platform designed to make the intake process simple, efficient and beneficial to the patient and the clinician. The system is able to collect all the necessary information from the patient, verify it in real time and collect payment using the PhreesiaiPad as a self-service solution before they see a clinician. It is Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) compliant for capturing electronic signatures on consent forms.

Clinicians will have a better workflow, improved patient-clinician dialog, increased cash flow and fewer mistakes.

“Clipboards and paper documentation often lead to illegible and incomplete information. This leads to transcription errors and administrative billing and clinical hassles. Integrating Phreesia’s comprehensive check-in solution into existing EHRs will help clinics improve efficiency and productivity at the point of care. In assisting Phreesia by leveraging our data integration tools and data workflow enhancement expertise , we are able to demonstrate our collective commitment to providing simple solutions that offer the ultimate level of patient data management in a paperless environment ,” said Craig Luce, president, EHR Integration Services.

The EHR IS model is designed to take Healthcare IT and simplify it so it can be applied by clinicians in their workflow without any complications. The firm offers consultation, EHR extraction-conversion services, interface development and training and productivity programs for managing today’s electronic medical practice.
