iSirona Partners with Mercy Medical Center

iSirona is a company that a large number of different medical device and medical technology companies have leaned on for its special expertise. The company is a provider of solutions that have to do with different medical device integrations. This week, the company announced that it has partnered with a new firm, the Mercy Medical Center.

Mercy Medical, based in Iowa, will begin implementing iSirona’s device implementation platform by bringing 150 machines online. Among those that will be utilized will be anesthesia and dialysis machines, which will work to automate the flow of patient data directly into its Epic EMR.

In turn, the Epic EMR will allow doctors and caregivers the ability to see a huge variety of patient information quicker and easier. This also means that Mercy will be able to use iSirona technology on their current technological tools, meaning that the company will be able to save quite a bit of money.

Jeff Cash, CIO of Mercy Medical Center, talked about how the implementation is taking place at the same time the facility is putting the new Epic go-live program into action. "With iSirona's software solution, we have a clear win-win situation," Cash said in a recent statement. "The accuracy of our data will be much improved, and our clinicians will be able to spend more time with their patients, which is something we take great pride in."

This kind of solution for medical facilities is becoming one of the more popular ways facilities are embracing all the things that technology can do in this very specialized sector. iSirona has managed to get to the top of the heap by being extremely proactive in rolling out its tech to as many facilities as possible.
