Streamline Health to Help Einstein Healthcare Network Get Reimbursements and Denials Under Control

Streamline Health Solutions, Inc., a provider of enterprise healthcare content management and business analytics solutions, today announced that Einstein Healthcare Network has licensed the company's business analytics solution to “more effectively monitor and drive revenue cycle performance from accounts receivable management to denial recovery.”

“Good management of accounts receivable operations is fundamental to improved cash flow because it can make a big difference — a big difference — in the payments received for services provided and in the financial success of the practice,” wrote Sara S. Lankford, CPA, and Lucy R. Carter, CPA.

In addition, insurers have begun denying a larger and larger percentage of legitimate health care claims. So it’s very important for healthcare facilities to get both these systems under control.

Einstein has licensed Streamline’s OpportunityAnyWare, ARWare and 835DenialWare and will use them in its ambulatory care business which includes more than 1,000 physicians, according to the press release.

Einstein, a 1,234-bed integrated delivery network in Philadelphia and Montgomery County, Pa., had previously used Streamline Health's AccessAnyWare content management solution since 1995, and now uses the company's CodingWare and CompletionWare workflows, according to the press release.

This agreement allows Einstein to add Streamline’s Health’s advanced analytics and workflow management solutions to reduce the cost of collecting receivables and improve cash flow. Streamline states in the press release that the solutions “will also give the network better insight into the root cause of denials and allow it to leverage the workflow system to maximize overturn rates and protect net revenue.”

“This commitment from Einstein Healthcare Network substantiates its confidence in the value that Streamline Health provides,” said Robert E. Watson, president and CEO, Streamline Health, in the press release. “This agreement further expands Streamline Health's footprint of working with some of the best academic medical centers in the country. We're pleased with the opportunity to expand our partnership with Einstein Healthcare Network to include our newest offerings, which were a part of the Interpoint Partners transaction in December, 2011.”
