Medullan, Inc. has announced that the company’s revenue, as well as its customer base, nearly doubled in 2011, according to a press release. The company, which calls itself an “IT consultancy,” said that its mission is to help supplements clients’ in-house teams with such technology concerns as “problem definition, user experience design and software architecture” for the healthcare industry.
Medullan offers product strategy, design, prototyping and development, and solution configuration and deployment, among other capabilities.
“The market for healthcare applications is very strong right now, with virtually all the major healthcare plans developing strategies to better engage consumers through technology,” said Geoff Seyon, chairman of Medullan, in the press release. “We’ve built an excellent ecosystem, including both technology and people, to help clients get that work done and get their applications to market very quickly.”
One of the company’s clients, Health Plus Management Services, asked Medullan to put together a web-based application, Health Plus Systems, that provides a central location where all staff working with a patient “can collaborate in a secure environment,” according to the press release.
“The Medullan team played an essential role in getting Health Plus Systems to market,” said Stuart Blumberg, CEO at Health Plus Management Services, in the press release. “They not only helped shape and refine our initial ideas, but also came up with a killer concept for the web-based architecture and user interface that would never have occurred to us. As a result, Health Plus has enjoyed huge uptake from our customers in the medical and legal communities -- feedback from them has been tremendously positive. Health Plus is changing the way law firms communicate and collaborate with their clients’ medical care teams.”
In other company news, Medullan, Inc. recently announced that its Chief Creative Officer, Andre Black, has been invited to speak at the upcoming World Congress 4th Annual Leadership Summit on Health Plan Innovation. In a featured panel presentation, Black will address the healthcare community in a session titled, “Healthy Interactive Entertainment: The Future of Engaging Consumers in Health and Wellness.”
