Ventura County in California is hoping to enhance its health plan efficiency, care delivery and service with the help of TriZetto’s QNXT Essentials offering.
The QNXT Essentials is a software and service package offered by TriZetto for care plans that have fewer than 50,000 members and the offering includes the company’s QNXT enterprise administration system, accelerated product implementation and full-service application hosting and management services and also TriZetto’s new member and provider service real-time portal applications.
TriZetto explained that its QNXT is designed to encompass an “n-tier” environment and service-oriented architecture and offers the flexibility and functionality that payers need in order to achieve optimal growth and efficiency with the lowest total cost of ownership. By bringing down manual labor and associated costs it can help users enhance administrative efficiencies. It is a rules-driven, user-configurable application, with .NET architecture that automates plan processes such as membership enrollment, premium billing, claims adjudication and customer support.
Ventura County’s HMO reportedly serves employees and their families, retirees, Medicare recipients, and county-affiliated organizations and with the QNXT Essentials offering it will be able to control administrative expenses and redirect its resources to deliver better healthcare. The solution would seamlessly automate the county’s processes which will only improve cost and quality of care delivery.
“Ventura County is among many health plans that do not have the internal IT resources of larger regional and national payer organizations. TriZetto’s QNXT Essentials offering takes Software as a Service to a new level, providing an ideal end-to-end solution for smaller plans. It delivers a top-shelf plan, accelerated implementation, and worry-free performance and reliability for a low, predictable monthly fee,” claimed Rob Scavo, president of Emerging Markets at TriZetto, in a press release.
The company added the objective behind formulating the QNXT Essentials offering is to offer small health plans the tools to thrive in today’s competitive marketplace. For Ventura County, the TriZetto platform would also support timely, accurate reporting of data to the California Department of Managed Care.
