Physicians EHR, a provider of electronic health record solutions, has just released emPEHRical Implementations, an online project management tool designed to simplify EHR implementations.
The Web-based project management tool will manage the multiple complexities of an EHR implementation, offering all the benefits essential to successful project management such as EHR-specific milestones and tasks.
emPEHRical includes features such as planning, budgeting, assessment, go-live and diagnostic tools. It has a customized project dashboard that gives an overview of user activity which provides deeper insight into any project. Team members can communicate and share ideas using a simple messaging feature. The dashboard also includes a document management feature that has an exclusive pre-loaded toolbox from Physicians EHR’s training manual.
“emPEHRical is based on not only the best practices of Physicians EHR, but from years of research, evidence, and discussions with physicians on what works, and what doesn’t,” said Carolyn Hartley, president and CEO, Physicians EHR, in a statement.
“We have translated our proven 10-step methodology into an online format that, with training and software support, will provide project managers with the tools and knowledge to successfully lead organizations through EHR implementation,” Hartley added.
emPEHRical is designed for all types of organizations – big and small. The implementation is available in a variety of user plans starting at only $129 per month.
In a recent breakthrough development in the EHR market, ICSA Labs announced its first certification of an IT system that is currently deployed by a hospital. The hospital, Via Christi Health, earned the certification under ICSA Labs' electronic health record program. Previous certifications had been limited to commercial off-the-shelf and open-source solutions.
ICSA Labs, an independent division of Verizon, is designated as an Authorized Testing and Certification Body by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, and is authorized to test complete EHR solutions as well as modular ones that address a specific IT function.
The certification from ICSA Labs demonstrates that Via Christi Health's software follows patient-care best practices and enables the secure exchange of patient records.
