Kony Solutions recently announced that Intermountain Healthcare has selected its mobile application platform to offer its providers and patients robust mobile solutions irrespective of the device they use. This is possible due to Kony’s Write Once, Run Everywhere technology which enables mobile deployment in over 9,000 operating systems, mobile smartphones, tablets and kiosks.
In a release, Frederick Holston, chief technology officer at Intermountain said, “Our staff is committed to finding innovative ways to provide services and access to the communities we serve. By using Kony’s platform to develop our mobile offerings, we can roll out apps more quickly, lower development costs, and more importantly, provide an exceptional user experience for our staff, our patients, and our members.”
He added, “With Kony, we can easily support both mobile web and native apps. Kony also helps us future-proof our mobile strategy, so we don’t have to constantly worry about OS upgrades or new devices on the market.”
Soon, Intermountain developers will start their training on the Kony Studio so that they can quickly develop and release a number of mobile applications. Intermountain has plans to develop a number of mobile apps using Kony’s platform for clinical care, physicians, nurses, patients and health plan members.
