ESCO Deploys IP Billing and OSS Solution from LogiSense

Healthcare communications solutions provider ESCO has deployed the EngageIP solution from LogiSense. LogiSense offers IP billing and OSS software and professional services.

The EngageIP solution from LogiSense is a developer-friendly hosted offering providing the flexibility to accurately manage customers and handle all invoicing and operational procedures. ESCO plans to integrate its current inventory system data into the EngageIP system in coming months to further align its processes and procedures.

ESCO is the developer of the CareConnect managed telecommunications service designed specifically for senior housing communities. Through CareConnect, communities enjoy a number of technology benefits including resident and business digital/IP-based phone systems, patient emergency response systems, wander management technology, wireless locator systems, satellite television services and high-speed Internet service.

EngageIP solutions address specific network usage administration requirements. These include billing, cost allocation, customer care, telecom rating and IP services delivery. Products are designed to improve customer service, improve productivity, reduce operating and capital costs as well as time to market for new services, and to generate new revenue streams.

Features include the All-Play Next Generation Billing OSS, the Telecom VoIP Interconnect Billing OSS, the Broadband Cable DSL Wireless Billing OSS and the WiMax WISP WiFi Billing OSS. Software is designed to address accurate client billing, application latency and server load, reduction of network scalability costs and effective client management.

"By using LogiSense, we were able to combine our disparate billing and ticketing applications into a single, fully integrated system," said Tausha Thorman, director of business operations for ESCO. "A significant percentage of the ESCO team works remotely, so having a web-based ticket system is very important. It has allowed our employees to access their own tickets, regardless of their respective location. This critical functionality has drastically reduced our support costs and time spent on customer service requests by both our field personnel and our office-based employees.

"This deployment was surprisingly fast - especially considering the number of customizations we required," added Thorman. "Important to note, is EngageIP's ability to mediate and invoice the next-generation services we will offer in the very near future, such as IPTV, as well as the variety of legacy services we currently provide to our customers. This capability was among the determining factors driving our selection of LogiSense."

"ESCO's CareConnect is among the most innovative, respected brands in the senior living market and we are pleased at the overwhelming success of this engagement," said Flavio Gomes, founder and president of LogiSense. "We take great pride in the power and flexibility of EngageIP, as well as in the exceptional level of attention and detail customers receive from our support team. We are very much looking forward to expanding our relationship with ESCO in the future."
