Healthcare Technology and News: Resurrection Health Care Increases User Productivity Using Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Resurrection Health Care, Chicago’s largest Catholic health care provider, has reportedly increased user productivity by 50 percent by implementing Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Resurrection Health Care is a family of health care services including hospitals, nursing homes, retirement communities, home health services, behavioral health services and numerous outpatient centers. It includes eight hospitals with over 2,300 beds, nine long-term care and rehabilitation facilities, a home health care company, and dozens of health care outpatient facilities and community clinics.

Officials at Resurrection Health Care were looking for a CRM solution that could easily integrate with Microsoft Office and Outlook, making it easier for users to learn and navigate, and meet the needs of more than just the Ambulatory Care and Home Health Service Sales teams. Also, the new CRM system required the ability to be implemented internally or hosted remotely as an on-demand SaaS (software as a service) business model.

In 2008, Resurrection decided on Microsoft Dynamics CRM, using Sonoma Partners as their implementation partner. The latest implementation is helping the health care provider to save over $6,000 in technical support, in addition to the cost savings for lower license fees.

Officials confirmed that over 40 calls were placed to the CRM technical support help desk in just 6 months. Also, it is helping the health care provider's users to keep track of physician and hospital information using Microsoft Office Outlook messaging and collaboration client, eliminating the need to open and use a separate customer relationship management (CRM) solution. Microsoft Dynamics CRM can also be accessed remotely.

Chicago-based Sonoma Partners sells, customizes and implements Microsoft's Customer Relationship Management (Microsoft CRM) software for mid-size and enterprise companies throughout the United States.
