Barnes-Jewish Hospital Selects 3Cinteractive's Mobile Solution for Better Patient-Communication

In an effort to reduce costs and enhance the quality of patient care, Missouri’s largest health care center, Barnes-Jewish Hospital has invested in a mobile appointment abandonment solution from 3Cinteractive.

According to an estimate, “no show” rates in the U.S. is as high as 35 percent and these missed or canceled appointments taken together can cost any hospital millions annually in lost revenue. Add to it the secondary costs relating to lost staff productivity and unnecessary future medical care, the loss is even greater.

By installing 3Cinteractive’s Mobile appointment abandonment solutions, the hospital expects to reduce these losses. The solution will help the hospital to reduce missed or canceled appointments and backfill canceled appointments. This on the one hand will minimize lost revenue and boost staff efficiency on the other hand. The net result will be increased patient satisfaction and improved patient medical outcomes, 3Ci claimed in a press release.

According to industry experts, effective communication can help solve many challenges that health systems are currently facing. Mobile has the potential to reduce communication barriers through the delivery of personalized, one to one interactions with patients. As a result, not only patients can enjoy improved health care, the hospitals can also reduce health care spending.

3Cinteractive’s integrated mobile software and services help businesses communicate with consumers on their mobile device. The company explained that its cloud-based mobile platform – Switchblade allows businesses to deliver mobile solutions on any handset or carrier, using integrated mobile technologies such as messaging, voice, mWeb and smartphone apps.

3Ci’s XaaS services suite makes it easy for businesses to deploy and maintain effective mobile business solutions. The company provides mobile health solutions for some of the most respected names in healthcare and currently touches millions of patients a month.

Barnes-Jewish has been recognized as America's Best Hospitals for 19 consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report.

Few month back, 3Cinteractive announced it had received TRUSTe Cloud Data Privacy and U.S. – European Union (EU) Safe Harbor certifications for its proprietary mobile platform, Switchblade.
