CareCloud Uses Terremark Enterprise Cloud to Enhance its Healthcare Offerings

Terremark announced that it is enabling CareCloud, a healthcare management solutions provider, to develop its business and also modernize several health care practices across the United States via the cloud.

In a release, Albert Santalo, president and CEO of CareCloud said, “Terremark’s portfolio of secure infrastructure solutions is a natural fit to integrate into our platform.”

“As a cloud-based company that serves a growing network of healthcare businesses and partners, we require the kind of agile IT infrastructure platform with a dedicated resource pool for computing and storage, built-in security and stringent service level agreement terms that Terremark’s cloud computing infrastructure provides. Terremark also provides the scale and connectivity, through its colocation services, that will allow us to effectively meet the expected growth of the healthcare industry as more providers digitize their health records,” Santalo added.

According to company sources a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model will be leveraged by CareCloud for ensuring scalable solutions for common challenges like practice management, electronic health records and revenue cycle management.

Terremark’s innovative services, like Enterprise Cloud has enabled CareCloud to quickly grow its business in the healthcare cloud computing market by delivering secure, scalable and reliable Web-based resources.

Company officials added that Terremark’s flexible Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solution helps CareCloud to leverage the same enterprise-grade expertise, security and availability that is employed by large enterprises and government agencies. The solution is cost effective as it eliminates the need for building and maintaining a data center.

Terremark provides infrastructure services ranging from cloud computing to colocation that are further augmented by an optimized platform and enablement services that help enterprises to move applications to the cloud when required.

Healthcare IT executives will benefit a lot from the Enterprise Cloud’s multi-user capacity, dedicated resource pool architecture and role-based security model besides also from private network connectivity and physical device integration, added officials.

Chris Drumgoole, senior vice president of client services at Terremark said, “CareCloud needed a computing infrastructure that would support its continued expansion without sacrificing security and reliability of access to its platform.”

He pointed out that the scalability features of the cloud resources are cost effective and helps CareCloud to focus on delivering apps to enhance healthcare offerings instead of wasting time and money on deploying hosting infrastructure.
