San Jose based sales and marketing firm Advanced Business Acquisition recently announced that executives from the company attended a fund raiser event in New York City.
The Smile Gala is organized every year with an aim to accumulate funds and spread awareness about the Operation Smile. The event also recognizes individuals making outstanding contributions toward making Operation Smile a success.
Based in Norfolk, Virginia, Operation Smile is a not-for-profit medical service organization for children. Since 1982, this medical charity organization has been providing cleft lip and palate repair surgeries to children worldwide. The NGO has helped many countries in gaining self-sufficiency with these surgeries. The organization works to reduce the occurrence of cleft lips and palates. Operation Smile has provided reconstructive surgery to over 150,000 children and young adults in more than 60 countries.
Julie Strait, president of Advanced Business Acquisitions was one of the executives to attend the Smile Gala event held at Cipriani’s on Wall Street in New York City. The cost of each table reservation went towards Operation Smile.
“Operation Smile is important to us because we’re committed to helping children with special needs. With the work of Operation Smile, you have the opportunity to support life changing surgeries. I was glad to attend this event and be part of this special night of fundraising,” Strait said in a statement.
Among the attendees were celebrities such as Jessica Simpson, Nick Cannon, and Donald Trump, Jr.
“This was an amazing red carpet event! We were entertained with Bollywood dancers, celebrity speakers, and a jaw-dropping rock violin performance,” Strait noted in a statement.
