Healthcare Report Says Xerox is Leader in Innovative Health Insurance Services

Xerox is in the winner’s circle for its outstanding ability to both "execute and integrate technology into end-to-end voice and back-offices services." That’s part of the findings of the new “HfS Research 2013 Healthcare Payer BPO Services Blueprint Report”, just released.

Among the many reasons Xerox receives a gold star are its virtual pill management system and health insurer access to their medical records. The company was also highly praised for its new call-center platform that reduces the training period for customer care agents by almost fifty percent.

Xerox Group President of Health Care Payer and Pharmaceutical Services, Jeff Hechemy, told The Wall Street Journal that "When health insurance exchanges go live this fall, insurance providers will have to cater to millions more individuals, in addition to their traditional client base. With a global footprint of more than 22,000 healthcare employees and a research team dedicated to innovation, Xerox is uniquely positioned to help our clients tackle the seismic challenges of healthcare reform."

Each year the HfS Blueprint Report rates service providers in two main categories: innovation and execution. Their final ratings are based on 1,355 responses from “health care BPO buyers, service providers, industry influences and HfS research analysts.” The HfS report is the leading global analyst authority for both business and IT service industries.

Since its creation 75 years ago, Xerox has helped the business world simplify the way it gets its work load accomplished. They are a global leader in both business process and document management.

Xerox, headquartered in Norwalk, CT, employs more than 140,000 workers and serves clients in more than 160 countries. Through its commercial health plans the company reaches nearly two-thirds of the nation’s insured population, and processes well over 900 million claims each year.
