TELUS Ventures, a venture investment arm of TELUS Health, announced on Wednesday that it will be making a significant investment in Get Real Health, a global patient engagement software company based in the United States. The funding will be beneficial for both parties involved; the deal allows TELUS to get its foot in the door to the ever-growing personal health IT space, while also letting Get Real Health accelerate its development of new features and functionality for its core product, InstantPHR.

Along with more opportunity for steady growth of InstantPHR, a software platform which organizes and safeguards personal health records for its customers, the investment will also allow Get Real Health to grow as an organization. By enhancing the capabilities of its customer support system and expanding its marketing and sales efforts, Get Real Health hopes to be able to provide better quality service for its customers.
