X-Factor's Digital Signage Improves Healthcare Communications

X-Factor, a digital signage and interactive media solution provider, has equipped healthcare professionals with a new tool for collecting and retrieving information about their patients. Using a device such as a tablet or a kiosk, patients are able to answer questions related to their condition easily and efficiently.

The company is introducing its Corporate Communication Control Center (C4) solution, which will enable customers to publish mass notifications and data across different applications and devices including desktops, digital signage, kiosks, smartphones, tablets, and intranet sites like SharePoint. The X-Factor digital broadcasting and interactive communication platform uses HTML5, RCS and WebRTC for enhancing its broadcast, communication, and delivery capabilities.

The company's Digital Screen Control Portal (DSCP) platform incorporates HTML5, rich communication services (RCS), and WebRTC capabilities for displaying actionable multimedia content in high definition across multiple devices. These technologies reduce compatibility issues between devices and operating systems in the marketplace. The content management system has an easy-to-use interface for creating, updating, managing and deploying content over the signage network while at the same time adding interactivity with mobile SMS, 2D Barcode, location services and touchscreens.

The X-Factor platform gives healthcare organizations a communication and operational tool to make staff more efficient. It does this by targeting messages and having access to key metrics that can be used for real-time intelligence. Healthcare solutions can be used for disseminating customized messages related to a location, health condition or large emergency situations such as natural disasters. Some of the options administrators can use to distribute on the X-Factor include:

  • Emergency notifications to every outlet from one source
  • Department wait times
  • Information on hospital events
  • Emergency and security awareness content
  • Application training tips & tricks
  • Patient safety "best practices"
  • Readiness and compliance education

Jeffrey Singman, chief sales & marketing officer of X-Factor, South Hackensack, New Jersey commented, "Our C4 solution is powerful, interactive and easy to use. With a single click on a published message, a recipient can be directed to detailed information, launch a related video, reach a live person at a call center and more. We've developed our healthcare solutions with input from our customers and in collaboration with several technology partners, ensuring that our solutions work on smart phones, tablets and desktops."
