Teladoc, for its dedication to providing healthcare solutions, has been honored with two awards. Teladoc placed in the best patient access and convenience category for its website and digital communications and was recognized with a Silver 2012 eHealthcare Leadership Award.
Additionally, the Industry Innovator Award was awarded to Teladoc by the Institute for HealthCare Consumerism. This award is given to companies that go above and beyond in executing innovative health and benefit management programs.
“It is an honor to be recognized as a leader in the health care field by two prominent organizations. Teladoc strives to provide cost-effective, convenient, quality healthcare for patients when they need it most,” said Jason Gorevic, chief executive officer for Teladoc.
He added that to improve access to high quality healthcare, as the largest tele-health provider, it is committed to working with health plans, employers, health systems and patients.
During the Sixteenth Annual Healthcare Internet Conference in Las Vegas on November 14, Teladoc was honored with the eHealthcare Leadership Award. Among this year’s award recipients, it was the only tele-health company. The awards program recognizes the very best websites of healthcare organizations, online health companies, pharmaceutical/medical equipment firms, suppliers, and business improvement initiatives.
Selected from nearly 1,100 entries, awards were named in 14 different categories. eHealthcare Strategy & Trends, an industry trade publication, presents the eHealthcare Leadership Awards. In its seventh year, The HealthCare Consumerism Superstars and Innovators Awards are presented annually by HealthCare Consumerism Solutions, the official publication of The Institute for HealthCare Consumerism.
