Fovia Releases HDVR Mobile Providing Access to Medical and Dental 3D Applications

Fovia Inc., a global landmark in imaging technology and the developer of High-Definition Volume Rendering, has released HDVR Mobile which provides anytime, anywhere access to medical and dental 3D applications.

Fovia's HDVR Mobile follows the success of Fovia's HDVR Connect. Original equipment manufacturers can easily integrate and distribute advanced visualization applications on mobile devices through the newly released Fovia's HDVR Mobile.

The intuitive interface of HDVR Mobile enables remote viewing and its robust SDK feature enables easy customization of the interface, which is very useful for OEMs and their target markets.

It also has CPU-based, thin-client technology which is scalable, and provides critical information anywhere at any time via local networks, the cloud or as an integrated component of existing architectures. Fovia’s OEM partners can now significantly enhance their products with HDVR Mobile’s complete mobile imaging solution – the ‘gold standard’ of advanced visualization into their proprietary workflows.

"The core value proposition of Fovia's HDVR Mobile is that it enables more rapid and accurate decision-making by healthcare professionals," said Thomas Schiff, D.M.D., Professor Emeritus, and former Chair of the Radiology Department and director of Clinical Research at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.

A leading authority on dental volumetric imaging and an internationally recognized contributor in the fields of dentistry and radiology, Dr. Schiff continued, "Universal access to High-Definition Volume Rendering will significantly enhance medical and dental care by providing advanced visualization when and where it is most urgently needed."

HDVR Mobile provides unprecedented access, quality and detail on high-resolution tablets and smartphones, and eliminates many of the constraints faced by doctors and dentists that crop up with increased network performance.

Fovia works with OEMs to develop mobile applications that enable detailed surgical simulations, supplements operating room decisions, improves bedside workflows and enhances patient education. It thus remains at the forefront of advanced visualization applications proving to be the dedicated leader in imaging technology.

Fovia, Inc. was founded in 2003. Its HDVR Connect and HDVR Mobile solutions are flexible, scalable, cost effective and easily deployable on an enterprise-wide basis compared to GPU or other hardware-based approaches. These solutions can be easily and natively integrated into various original equipment manufacturers' offerings.

OEMs deliver exceptional performance and unrivalled image quality, in 2D, 3D and 4D advanced volume visualization applications both locally and remotely.
