BillingTree Looking for Partnerships in Healthcare to Increase Electronic Payments

Although bills are not a welcomed part of everyone’s personal and business life, using a proven method to pay and receive payments can make them more tolerable.

Processing payments quickly makes an organization more efficient, and improves financial standing and customer service. The healthcare industry is known for the difficulty it has in processing payments, as well as irregularities with those payments. BillingTree is launching an initiative to look for partners for the adoption of electronic payments using its easy to use payment platforms for the healthcare field.

The initiative was developed by Liz Caracciolo to help the company increase the adoption of electronic payments using new technologies and platforms. Using IVR (Interactive Voice Response), Web and mobile/text payment systems give healthcare providers additional options to expedite payments.

Improved revenue cycles means cash can be accessed much quicker as it spends less time in accounts receivable.

"The preference for fully integrated electronic patient payments is of growing importance to healthcare technology product management and hospital revenue cycle executives,” said Liz Caracciolo. “We want to forge alliances with best of breed technology companies servicing hospitals, healthcare professionals, physician groups and beyond, to integrate BillingTree’s comprehensive suite of payment processing solutions.  By partnering, technology vendors can provide their clients a proven payment processing platform and ongoing innovations without diverting resources from their core product developments."

The solution the company is providing will answer key questions hospitals need answered regarding payment systems, including:

How will multichannel electronic payment processing platform benefit healthcare providers with expanding core system functionalities?

How will healthcare providers deal with the change of patient pay responsibility when insurance companies are not involved and there are outstanding bills?

How are patient portals introduced and used with the new electronic payment technology?

What kinds of measures are taken to integrate the system regarding the needs of the consumer, including those with disability?

BillingTree is a leading provider of on-demand payment processing systems. It has helped more than 2000 customers eliminate manual payment processing methods by automating their payment cycles.

This is achieved through its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, which provides a payment solution, integration and the simplicity of point and click.
