Toshiba (News – Alert) has helped LifeLong Medical Care connect the employees and patients of its network with its IPedge and Strata CIX IP and converged business telephone systems. LifeLong's Toshiba business telephone systems helps meet its communication objectives, including centralize telephony applications, including voice mail, call center and system administration.
Toshiba’s IPedge gives LifeLong that much needed edge by integrating multiple communication applications on one optimized server platform. It connects standard applications (which include call processing, voicemail, and centralized system administration), optional applications (that include unified messaging, meet-me audio conferencing with web collaboration), and a Call Manager unified communications client application.
Toshiba’s business telephone systems help centralize LifeLong’s telephony applications, call center, system administration and voice mails. They consist of both pure IP and IP converged systems. The systems effectively handle more than 1,000 incoming calls every day and facilitate centralized remote administration for all locations. Installed by ATS communications, the systems include both IP and digital telephones.
Toshiba’s Network eManager, a remote administration tool helps the staff of LifeLong in managing the entire telephone system remotely from their desktops or laptops. The Network eManager application is designed to manage multiple CIX equipment sites in a way that is more efficient and saves time. LifeLong’s locations use Toshiba’s Strata Net IP networking system. The Strata Net Networking system connects different locations to each other via IP.
Betsy Ami, IT director of LifeLong Medical Care said that together, Toshiba and ATS Communications have a winning combination and they delivered on their primary goals of centralized applications, IP networking between all locations, and the ability to do remote system administration.
Phillip Klatt, the IT manager of LifeLong Medical Care said that their Toshiba business telephone system is extremely reliable and easy to use, allowing them to focus on their patients and staff while providing the best communications solutions possible.
Toshiba’s IP Business telephone systems at LifeLong includes IPedge EP business telephone system, Strata CIX100 business telephone systems, Strata CIX670 business telephone systems, Strata Net networking, about 900 ports, over 600 Toshiba IP and digital telephones and wireless Toshiba SoftIPT softphones for mobile workers. Toshiba's wireless SoftIPT softphones also offer easy access and can be used with laptops, tablet PC's or any PDA via wireless Local Area Network.
For unified communications, two Strata MAS systems are used; one with auto attendant, unified messaging and voice mail, and the other is used for Toshiba's Strata ACD and TASKE call center services for LifeLong's call center.
The flexible Toshiba Strata CIX system changes and meets the evolving needs of the company. It helps streamline communications , connects seamlessly to high-speed digital services, automatically routes outgoing calls to the least costly line or carrier and evaluates call patterns for better management decisions and simplified billing.
The bottom line is that the right communication system gives the organization the power to attract customers, increase productivity, save costs, enhance image and improve customer satisfaction. In short, Toshiba's IPedge and Strata CIX telephone systems have met LifeLong's communications objectives.
