WEA Trust Selects HealthEdge Technology to Automate and Optimize Business Processes



HealthEdge recently announced that its HealthRules software platform has been selected by the WEA Trust, a not-for-profit group health insurance Company based in Wisconsin. WEA is looking to automate and optimize its business processes by leveraging the HealthRules software platform. Through this deployment, WEA Trust is expecting to completely eliminate the need for manual handling of business processes and to achieve cost savings of close to $100 million over a period of the next five years. Additionally, the software solution will help WEA Trust in the effective management of emerging healthcare business models.

In a release, Mark Blumenfeld, CIO/vice president of Information Technology for the Trust, said, "HealthRules will enable us to continue to have exceptionally low administrative costs and incorporate a number of exciting new options into our offerings, which will benefit our customers. Our use of HealthRules will allow us to meet all of our next-generation healthcare business goals."

The HealthRules software platform is said to have been designed to incorporate advanced claims and benefit administration capabilities as well as business intelligence, and portal solutions that can convert current payor organizations into leading healthcare organizations of the future.
